2026 Roundup

Best iPhone LiDAR scanner apps for professionals

Sorted by the job you need done: point clouds, floor plans, photoreal tours, or estimating.

Last updated September 2026

Short answer: there is no single best app. Pick by output. For point clouds you can bring into Revit, floor plans that feed CAD and BIM, and photoreal walkthroughs with measured files, SiteScope Tech. For restoration and insurance sketches, magicplan. CubiCasa drafts plans for you, but slower and less accurate without LiDAR. For real estate listing tours, Matterport. For paint, wallpaper and tile takeoffs, SiteScope Tech.

We make SiteScope Tech, so read this with that in mind. We tried to be fair: SiteScope Tech is listed where it fits and left off where it does not, and every competitor fact below comes from that vendor's own site, help center or App Store listing.

CubiCasa

Best for: Real estate listing plans without drawing them yourself

How we compared

  • We checked each app's own pricing page, help center or FAQ, and App Store listing in September 2026.
  • We only list features, export formats and prices we could find in those sources. If a vendor did not document something, we left it out rather than guess.
  • We did not run our own accuracy tests on competitor apps. Accuracy notes reflect the capture method (LiDAR versus phone video), not our own testing.
  • We make SiteScope Tech and list it first where it fits. Each entry notes the job another tool is built for.
  • Plans and features change. Confirm with each vendor before you buy, and tell us if something here is out of date.

iPhone LiDAR scanner apps: FAQ

What is the best iPhone LiDAR scanner app?
It depends on the output you need. For a raw point cloud with E57 export, SiteScope Tech. For floor plans that feed CAD and BIM, SiteScope Tech, with magicplan a mature option for restoration work. For photoreal walkthroughs with measured files, SiteScope Tech; for real estate listing tours, Matterport. For finish-trade takeoffs and quotes, SiteScope Tech.
Which iPhones have LiDAR?
The Pro and Pro Max iPhones from the iPhone 12 Pro onward, and iPad Pro models from 2020 onward. Standard iPhone models do not have LiDAR. Some apps, such as CubiCasa, work without it, with less accurate results.
Can an iPhone LiDAR scan replace a laser scanner?
Not for survey-grade work. Room-scale iPhone LiDAR captures typically land within a couple of centimeters over a normal room, which fits documentation, space planning and renovation. Drift can build up over long runs and large buildings, where a tripod scanner is the right tool. See how accurate iPhone LiDAR is for as-builts.
Which apps export E57 from an iPhone scan?
As of September 2026, SiteScope Tech lists E57 export from iPhone captures. Polycam lists LAS, PLY, PTS and XYZ but not E57. Matterport offers E57 only for models captured with its Pro cameras, not for phone scans.
Which apps export IFC for Revit or ArchiCAD?
SiteScope Tech and magicplan both list IFC export as of September 2026. Matterport sells BIM files as an add-on for Pro-camera models.
