Scan to CAD

Scan it. Order the file your studio works in.

Walk any space with an iPhone Pro. Measured floor plans and E57 point clouds come back on the spot. When you need it in Revit, AutoCAD, or SketchUp, order the file drafted from the same scan and delivered into your tool. No re-measuring, no service bureau, no two-week wait.

One scan. Every format your project touches.

The point cloud, the plan, and the model all come out of one capture. Some formats you export yourself in seconds. The native BIM and CAD files we draft from your scan and deliver into your tool.

Instant, self-serve Included with your plan

2D Floor Plan

A measured, dimensioned plan generated from the scan, ready to read, mark up, or hand off.

E57

The scanner-industry point-cloud exchange format. Drops into Autodesk ReCap and then Revit.

LAZ / PLY

Compressed and raw point clouds for the tools that read the LAS family or want the points as captured.

IFC

The open BIM model, with walls, doors, windows, and rooms as objects, for Revit and ArchiCAD.

DXF

A layered CAD underlay to trace over in AutoCAD, aligned to the same measured geometry.

GLB / PDF

A 3D model for native viewers, plus a dimensioned PDF drawing set with room, wall, door, and window schedules.

Delivered to order Business plan

AutoCAD (DWG)

The native AutoCAD drawing, drafted from your scan and delivered to your layer standards.

Revit (RVT)

A native Revit model, with walls, doors, windows, and levels built from the measured capture.

SketchUp (SKP)

A clean SketchUp model, so you keep designing in the tool your studio already works in.

ArchiCAD & Vectorworks

Native models for the rest of the BIM and CAD stack, drafted to spec.

Chief Architect

For kitchen, bath, and residential design workflows, delivered ready to keep working.

Measurement report

A structured report of rooms, walls, and openings, for when you need the numbers, not the model.

From site visit to CAD, in three steps

You capture. We draft. The file lands in your tool.

1

Scan on site

Walk the space with iPhone or iPad Pro LiDAR. Millions of points at whole-home scale, captured same day.

2

Export or order

Export the floor plan, E57, IFC, DXF, and PDF yourself, or order a native DWG, Revit, or SketchUp file drafted from the scan.

3

Keep working in your tool

The file opens in the software your studio already uses, drafted to spec, so you pick up where the scan left off.

Your scan is yours to keep.

Most scan-to-CAD services hand back a model and keep the capture. Here the scan, the measured point cloud, and every export stay yours. Order the drafted file when you need it, and still walk away with the E57 and the plan from the same capture.

One capture feeds the point cloud, the BIM model, the CAD underlay, and the delivered file, so the numbers agree across every deliverable.

Pricing

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between instant exports and made-to-order files?
Instant exports come straight out of your scan in the app and are included with your plan: measured 2D floor plans, E57, LAZ, and PLY point clouds, IFC, DXF, GLB, and a dimensioned PDF set. Made-to-order files are drafted from that same scan and delivered into your tool: native AutoCAD (DWG), Revit (RVT), SketchUp (SKP), ArchiCAD, Vectorworks, and Chief Architect. Those are available on the Business plan. Tell us the format and scope and we take it from there.
What do I need to capture a scan?
An iPhone Pro or iPad Pro. The LiDAR sensor on the Pro models does the capture, so that is the whole kit. No terrestrial scanner, no dedicated camera, and no rental. You scan the space once and every deliverable comes from that single capture.
How is pricing set for made-to-order files?
Pricing is scoped to the job. We price around the formats you need and the size of the space, so tell us what you are working on and we will put together pricing that fits. Instant exports are included with your plan.
Do I own my scan and the files?
Yes. The scan, the point cloud, and the exports are yours to keep and reuse. You are never locked out of your own capture, and you can export the point cloud as E57 whenever you want, which most scan-to-CAD services do not offer.
How is this different from a scan-to-BIM service bureau?
Service bureaus commonly charge thousands per residential job and take two to four weeks. Here you capture with a phone you already own, you get the point cloud and instant exports the same day, and you order the drafted BIM or CAD file when you need it, all in one platform. You also keep the E57 and the measured plan, not just the delivered model.
How accurate are the delivered files?
They are drafted from your measured iPhone LiDAR scan, which is centimeter-class: room-scale captures typically land within a couple of centimeters over a normal room. That is the right band for renovation, space planning, and existing-conditions documentation. It is not a survey-grade terrestrial scanner, so verify code-driven and fabrication-driven dimensions against a tape or laser, the same discipline you apply to any field survey.
